    Senior Traffic/Transportation Engineer

    Minagar & Associates, Inc. an award winning 26-year-old consulting ITS, traffic/civil/electrical engineering, transportation planning, homeland security and CEM firm has an immediate opening for a dynamic Senior Traffic/Transportation Engineer in our Laguna Hills office. We have completed over 900 projects in over 17 states and in over 85 cities in California. An excellent position for growth in a small team environment.

    The ideal candidate must possess the followings:

    • Very strong technical working knowledge of Traffic Engineering, ITS and Transportation Planning principles
    • Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience
    • Registered Professional Traffic Engineer in California
    • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
    • Proficiency in ACAD and MicroStation, Synchro, HCS and VISSIM
    • Demonstrated experience on preparing PS&E packages for Signing and Striping Plans, Traffic Control Plans, Fiber Optic and Systems Communications and Traffic Signal Design
    • Traffic signal timing and synchronization experience
    • Prepare Traffic Engineering reports and analyses
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple concurrent projects of various sizes

  • Job Opening: LSA Riverside April 11, 2019

    LSA’s Riverside office is seeking an Assistant Transportation Planner/Engineer. Candidates should be familiar with the fundamentals of traffic engineering and level of service analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in the four step traffic assignment process, research and technical analysis, intersection level of service software (e.g., Synchro, Vistro, Traffix), and microsimulation software (e.g., SimTraffic, Vissim, TransModeler). The candidate should also have the ability to convey technical information through report writing, including documentation of complex topics in a concise and understandable manner. Excellent written communication skills are a requirement.

    Desired skills include familiarity with traffic operations software (e.g., Synchro, Vistro, Traffix); travel demand modeling software (e.g., TransCAD, Visum, Cube/Voyager); geographic information system (GIS) applications; drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD), research of transportation, land use, and environmental topics; and spreadsheet (e.g., Excel) applications.

    The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation planning, traffic engineering, urban planning, or a related field.
